Synopsis[]
Mel discovers that the turkeys he bought for Thanksgiving dinner at an orphanage are stolen. Guest starring James Cromwell, Joyce Bulifant and Corey Feldman & Nancy McKeon as two of the orphans.
Storyline[]
Alice's plans for Thanksgiving are dashed when Mel decides to stay open for the holiday. Mel finds a guy who will sell him eight turkeys at $5 each. Turns out the turkeys are stolen and live. When Vera frees the birds, Mel has to figure how he plans on feeding 15 orphans.

- Philip McKeon's younger sister Nancy McKeon makes her first appearance in the series as an orphan. In season 6 episode 4 Nancy plays Kimberly.
- James Cromwell plays the Detective Relph Hilton. He also played a recurring character on another popular CBS-TV sitcom series, the role of Stretch Cunningham on All in the Family.
