Synopsis[]
Alice gets a second job delivering singing telegrams, but it's making her late for the diner.
Storyline[]
Tommy's straight A's in school has Alice thinking about having enough money to send him to college. She takes a part time job with a singing telegram company. Mel finds out and threatens to fire her. When she is 4 hours late to work the next day, Mel does fire her. Vera and Flo's attempt to reconcile them just makes things worse. Mel's Diner 20th anniversary party is the setting for the gang to patch things up.
